The 30-day “One Saree, 30 Drapes” challenge kicks off its minimalist fashion diary by drawing inspiration from the under-celebrated, functional, and culturally rich North-Eastern drapes, moving away from traditional Indian styles. Today’s look, the Tribal Drape, adapts the spirit of textiles like the mekhela chador and Nagaland wrap skirts to a single versatile saree, infusing it with raw, grounded strength. The styling involved draping the lower half like a practical wrap skirt and bringing the pallu over one shoulder in a thick fold, looping it around the neck and back over the opposite shoulder, mimicking tribal shoulder wraps.
